Each wreck site is marked with the vessel type, name, and date of sinking, as well as an indication of whether it was lost due to conflict or natural causes.

The map includes rescue stations, lighthouses, navigation beacons, and clear details of seafloor relief and coastlines. Annotations and illustrations highlight unique historical events, such as the sinking of the Italian luxury liner Andrea Doria in 1956.

The wrecks appearing on the map span from the 17th to the 20th century and include vessels lost in wars, storms, rebellions, mechanical failures, groundings, and other causes throughout the region's maritime history.
