The Western Balkans is one of the most exciting and developing travel regions in Europe — a combination of wild nature, ancient traditions, historic stone towns, and a rich culinary culture.
The Western Balkans map covers eight countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. The region stretches from the Adriatic coast, through the Dinaric Alps, with rushing rivers, tectonic lakes, steep canyons, and thousands of miles of trails and hiking trails.
The map includes UNESCO World Heritage Sites and major natural sites such as:
Triglav Park in Slovenia, the old city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, Lake Ohrid in Macedonia, Plitvice Falls in Croatia, Durmitor in Montenegro, Tara Park in Serbia, Theth Park in Albania, and Sutijska Park in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Includes clear marking of the road network with distances and road classifications, secondary routes for in-depth exploration, and the approximately 1,200-mile Via Dinarica trail that crosses the region along the mountain ranges.
The map is printed on both sides:
The front side shows Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Albania along the Adriatic coast.
The reverse side shows Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, and Macedonia, with an overlap along the Dinaric Alps.
Printed on extremely strong synthetic paper — waterproof and tear-resistant — and suitable for trekking, road trips, route planning, and nature adventures.
